Abstract

The storage silo for grain has a vertically acting conveyor which is used to transport the grain upwards and serves to circulate the grain during its storage. The conveyor may comprise a screw conveyor (3) or a gas conveyor in which case the grain is transported along with the gas flow. The grain is continuously or intermittently circulated in the silo which has a partition wall with a passageway at its top and bottom. The vertical conveyor is housed in a conveyor cylinder (2) up which the grain passes. Passageway or revolving channels (7, 11) are located at the top and bottom of the cylinder.
