Abstract

The electric curling tongs have two branches (1, 2) which pivot on each other. Each branch consists of a jaw and a handle (8, 9) and each jaw has a plate (3, 4) heated by electrical resistances. The surface of one plate (4) has a series of longitudinal parallel grooves (16) and the surface of the other plate (3) has a corresponding series of projections (15). The heating resistances are protected by covers (5, 6), have a thermostat and are joined by a conductor (14) to a plug (13) at the end of one handle (9).
