Abstract

The float moves along a guiding rod and the two wires are stretched on either side of the guiding rod. The resistance of the measuring circuit depends on the level of the float. One of the two resistance wires (12, 13) is replaced by a well conducting wire (13) and the sliding contact bridge (11) has an additional contact arm interacting with an opposite contact on the guiding rod (7) which is used as an electric conductor. The float, guiding rod and resistance wires are housed in a thin walled metal tube (4).
