Abstract

Infections by Botrytis cinerea on grape vines, and infections by parasitic fungi on mushrooms are treated by spraying with suspension of spores of Trichoderma viride. Typically a variety of T.viride having green spores is used to treat vines, and a variety having green or white spores is used to treat mushrooms. In an example, Semillon vines infected with Botrytis cinerea were treated with a suspension of green-spored T.viride, 108 spores/ml. at the rate of 2000 1./ha. The treatment was 97% effective.
