Abstract

A candle holder for a birthday cake has a carrier ring (60) with a set of candle holder sockets (61) spaced all round it. The ring is mounted on a bar (62) across its diameter with one more candle holder socket at the centre and with a disc (65) underneath with a spike projecting downwards from its centre. This allows the candles to be rotated. An alternative design has a circular plate with a lifting handle in the middle. The plate has a large number of holes through it, arranged in a pattern for fitting a required number of sockets. Another design has a set of arms crossing at a central pivot point, extending radically from a support disc underneath. This design may also include a column in the middle with a circle of sockets on an adaptor plate on top.
