Abstract
Bath for chemical removal of Ni-contg. alloys from the surface of a substrate contains (1) an oxidn. medium in the form of a water-soluble organic N cpds., (2) a complexing water-soluble amine for dissolving Ni, and (3) Fe or Cd complexing medium being a water-soluble aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon acid, salt or deriv., pyrophosphoric or sulphamic acids or salt, or a mixt. of acid at 2-75 g/l. Soln. is used for removing alloys, partic. Ni-Fe and Ni-Cd deposited electrolytically on metallic substrates. Process gives fast and certain removal.
