Abstract

The pulverulent solid substance (I) is projected onto the still liq. coating in a strip galvanizing line. (I) promotes the formation form of uniformly distributed small crystals in the coating and is e.g. 20 mu Zn powder. Alternatively a powdered ammonium salt such as the sulphate or bicarbonate may be used. A closed circuit for the powder addn. is pref. used allowing recirculation of excess powder.
