Abstract

Moulded one piece plastic container for use with products such as jellies, etc., intended to assist removal of contents without sticking to base. The base of the container has a truncated cone shaped protrusion with radial folds diminishing in height with increasing radius. The appearance of the moulded base is as of a star. Pushing against the centre of the protrusion deforms it inwards against the product, so helping to remove it from the container. Air is permitted to get between the product and the base, breaking the vacuum which would otherwise tend to hold back the product.
