Abstract
This is further development of the continuous process for uniform impregnation or coating of open width textile matls. with fluid or flowable treatment media according to 2365079. The goods to be treated run over hollow tubes which are provided with outlet slots across the width of the matl. The treatment medium is passed under press. through the hollow tubes from where it emerges through the slots and is distributed onto the matl. An excess of treatment liquor is pumped through the slots and this excess connected by mechanical or pneumatic means allows for a continuous feed over the cloth width. It is then taken away again, collected in a trough or vessel and from there fed back to the slots. Used for the impregnation or coating of all open width matls. which are suitable for continuous processing, pref. for woven matl., knitted fabrics or non-wovens with uniform fibres or mixts. The process described in 2365079 entails a relatively high liquor consumption. This is reduced by altering the process as described in this addn.
