Abstract

The pin is particularly for supporting fractures, dislocations etc. and comprises male (2) and female (1) sections telescoping into each other and adjustable exactly to the desired length. There can be a small eye at each end through which the wires securing the pin to the bone are threaded. Each wire threaded through can be gripped by splicing its two ends, and by a clamp applied at a point symmetrical in relation to the splice and to the bone supported. The two female arms can form a U-piece accommodating the separate male portions, anchoring being effected between eyes on the ends of the male and female portions.
