Abstract

The cylinder which rotates freely on its horizontal axis has a reel with an elastic hose which unwinds during sprinkling. The inside end of the hose wound onto the reel is joined by connections to a water-outlet nozzle. A drive-mechanism fed by the sprinkler water is joined by a power-transmission device for driving the wheeled vehicle. The drive-mechanism consists of a double-acting pressure-cylinder upon which water acts through a valve slide; or a turbine supplied by the sprinkler water. The power-transmission device incorporates a brake for the wheels when the drive mechanism is idle. The brake is lifted by a spring and consists of a skid. The vehicle has at least one steering wheel joined to an arm.
