Abstract

A number of containers (1), for example twelve, is marshalled together to form a group with their end faces (2) in the same plane. The points of contact (4) formed between adjoining bases of the containers are fixed together using double sided adhesive tape, contact adhesive, welding or other suitable means. The group is held together as a unit by a band (5) encircling the containers, this being made from a heat shrinkable material or similar exerting holding pressure. In use, the band (5) is cut and each container is detached by using leverage about the points of contact at the ends.
