Abstract
Themethod involves mixing an aqs. soln. of alkali metal silicate with aqs. soln. of alklai metal aluminate to produce a sol. poruing the sol. in an organic liquid to produce particle type gel, introducing the gel into an aqs. soln of ammonium salt and aluminium salt to treat it therein, washing it with water, thereafter heating and dehydrating it to produce amorphous particles, crystallizing the amorphous paricles in an aqs. soln. of sodium aluminate to produce zeolite, and drying it. The resulting zeolite can be used as adsorbent, catalyst or catalyst support.
