Abstract

An electric light bulb has a glass envelope (1) with one end (1a) hermetically sealed and with two conductors (2, 3). It has a metal socket (4) around the two conductors (2, 3) and the sealed part (1a) of the envelope (1). The glass envelope (1) may be assembled to the socket (4) by means of a cement (5). An insulating material part (6) is fitted to the socket and this part (6) has two holes (8, 9) for the two conductors (2, 3). Two metal contacts (11) are connected to the conductors (2, 3). These contacts (11) are made-up of a flat disc (11a) and of a hollow pin (11b) which is inserted into the hole (8, 9) of insulating part (6) and also makes contact with the conductor (2, 3).
