Abstract

Method involves mfr. and storage of hydrogen during off peak hrs. and its combustion during peak load hours. During off-peak times power is drawn from the generators to supply an alternator which at this time generates power to produce hydrogen electrochemically from water and to compress it in some storage area. Similarly air is compressed and stored. A system of relay controlled pumps can reverse the process such that hydrogen and air are fed to a combustion chamber, the resulting expansion driving a turbine coupled to the alternator now feeding back into the power station output lines.
