Abstract

A diffusion-transfer photographic prod. which forms colour images without sepn. comprises a transparent support on which are successively applied, (1) a colour image receptor element comprising a mordant layer and an opaque and reflecting layer(s). (2) a colour forming element, comprising (a) a layer of physical development nuclei contg. a colour forming p-sulphamidophenol cpd. which is non-diffusible and which can release a diffusible dye gp. upon cleavage through oxidn. and (b) an Ag halide negative emulsion layer contg. an Ag halide developer, (3) a basic activator which is released in the photographic prod. after exposure to ensure development of the colour image, (4) a neutraliser for absorbing the residual basic substances after processing, and (5) a superposed transparent sheet. The prod. is characterised in that the emulsion layer contains an N-alkyl-p-amino-phenol (I) as developer and a hydroquinone contg. a non-diffusible ballast gps., which reacts with the oxidn. prods. of the developer to regenerate the developer. The invention obviates the use of barriers layers.
