Abstract
The insulating gas circuit breaker is surrounded by a polyphase insulating casing, consisting of one piece or of separate elements for each phase secured to the circuit breaker control housing. The insulating casing is provided with embedded current lead bolts which are firmly connected to metallic linings or the inside of the casing. The linings, covering a part of the casing inner surface are so arranged as to serve as coolers, temperature distributors, field distribution rings, screenings for protection of the insulating surfaces against corrosion and diffusion, and as elements for deflecting the switching current. Preferably one lining covers the bottom of the insulating casing opposite the control housing, this lining having a dished shaped.
