Abstract

A filter panel to be installed between a suction enclosure and e.g. a paint spraying cubicle to filter the air from the cubicle is made from two sheets of plain cardboard parallel to one another with a space between them which is filled with a stack of corrugated cardboard. The sheets of plain cardboard have openings in them but the openings in one sheet are not opposite those in the other. The stack of corrugated cardboard is formed by folding a sheet of corrugated cardboard a number of times. The corrugated cardboard is cut by a number of equally spaced incisions across the corrugations. The area of the stack is less than that of the outer sheets of plain cardboard and a frame is fitted into the peripheral space so formed and made air tight with grease. The filter panel is simple and cheap and is more efficient in avoiding the blocking of suction pipes with paint which occurs with existing units.
