Abstract

The dizepines are of formula (I) (where R1 is H, lower alkyl, 4-10C cycloalkyl-lower alkyl, lower alkoxy-lower alkyl, hydroxy-lower alkyl or di-loweralkylamino-lower alkyl; R2 and R3 are H or lower alkyl and R4 is H or halogen) and their addn. salts are by selective redn. of the corresp. nitro cpd. (I) are sedatives, muscle relaxants and anti-convulsants, the daily dosage being 2-200 mg.
