Abstract

Ozone generator consists of metal (Pb) plate connected to a high voltage pole is enclosed between UV resistant glass sections. Above the glass surface at a distance 'a' are two other plates which are connected to the other pole of the high voltage source. When power is applied, the gap 'a' is such that arcing occurs between the plates. Through this gap an air stream is passed and the arcing causes the formation of O3 in the air, giving an O3 enrichment. Of particular application for ozonisation of small, esp. domestic, swimming pool installations.
