Abstract

The new dentifrice contains 0.25-50 wt.% of the juice and opt. pulp of Ananus Comosus, the remainder of the compsn. being conventional. This juice contains bromelaines, which are proteolytic enzymes and have anti-inflammatory activity. Stability of the enzymes is obtd. by having the dentifrice at pH 6-6.9 and by inclusion of 5-20 wt.% of sugar.
