Abstract
The container is extruded downwards through a die with two concentric annular openings, enclosed in a multipart mould and blown to shape, the inner parison being extruded first and the outer then extruded around it. The process ensures continuity of both the internal and external walls without a weak joint line. The inner parison is sealed before its full length is extruded with a mobile clamp whose edges are offset with regard to one another at an angle of 45 degrees-90 degrees. The inner parison and outer parisons are extruded discontinuously using an injection piston, they are successively clamped, the clamp is removed and they are then blown in a two part mould. The space between the two walls is pref. filled with an oxidising gas at a pressure below atmospheric.
