Abstract

The strip is introduced rapidly straight in the axis of the mould. The machine consists of an arm at the end of which are finishing devices and a drive train for the strip located above the mould. The arm is horizontal and can pivot about a vertical axis and move vertically. The finishing device consists of two rollers which cooperate with the drive train. The drive train consists of a continuous chain, supporting shoes to guide the strip which turns between two pinions. It bears against the strip following a maximum surface with the required force on a counter-stop with a roller track whose rolls are against the strip so that it moves perpendicularly to the strip to force it between the drive roller and the roller track. The strip is driven by a variable speed motor.
