Abstract
Appts. comprises a glass tank with an exit orifice and a mechanism for driving a measured gob from the arifice as in prior art, whereby the flow of molten glass into the orifice region is controlled by a heat resistant tube whose position in the opening is controlled by a motor such that raising the tube increases the weight and lowering the tube reduces the weight of the gob.
