Abstract
The potatoes are pulverized into a thick broth which is then passed to a washing out stage where the pulp and the raw starch milk are separated. The milk is then concentrated, purified and dried to produce starch. Concentrated juice from first stage concentrator is fed back and used instead of water in the washer/separator and also some is added to the pulp either dried for fodder or used for prodn. of albumen.
