Abstract

Soil dressings comprises tough flexible particles of powdered black rubber treated with a colouring agent during admixture with a binder. Pref. the rubber is obtd. by partial regeneration of old tyres and is blended with e.g. metal oxides and pref. polyurethane binder resin in the bowl of a multiple paddle mixer. The mix is subsequently discharged directly on to the ground or foundations for use. Pref. the mixing blades are made of polyethylene and the walls of the bowl are coated with a paraffin wax.
