Abstract
Process for mfg. Al is by electrolysis of a molten bath pref. at 120 degrees C-200 degrees C formed mainly of AlCl3 and a second e.g., alkali(ne earth) chloride pref. NaCl. The relative propus of AlCl3 and NaCl are between 1 mole NaCl per 1 mole AlCl3 and 1 mole NaCl per 4 moles AlCl3.
