Abstract

The shampoo comprises (a) 1-40 wt.% detergent surfactant of HLB-value >45 and surface tension >30 dyne/cm (in 1% aq. soln.), (b) 0.1-20 wt.% plant gum, and (c) 60-98 wt.% water. It is used esp. in aerosol containers to clean wool and cellulose-fibre carpets. Residues after drying of foam are rapidly removed e.g. by vacuum cleaner and degree of water uptake and re-soiling of carpet are low.
