Abstract
Iodophenylalkanoic acid derivs. of formula (I): (where R is H, an ester function, or an organic or mineral salt moiety; and n is 1, 2 or 3). Treatment of lipid overload (fatty deposits) and celluilitis. The usefulness of (I) is partially pronounced when they are used in combination with proteolytic enzymes with anti-inflammatory activity and/or lipolytic enzymes and/or leech extract or similar anticoagulants and/or aescin and/or an analgesic agent, and opt. a diffusion factor. Details of clinical cases are given demonstrating the usefulness of (I) in the treatment of lipid overload and cellulitis, notable and rapid results being obtd. with localized lipid excess.
