Abstract
Method of evaluation consists in performing successive cementations of noble metals by less noble metals. Copper and trivalent metals are precipitated at least once by alkaline earth carbonates, and excess chlorine or HCl acid is recovered by an suitable means. Specif. the excess hydrochloric acid may be separated by distillation. The solution contg. the chlorides and HCl acid may be fed continuously with vigorous stirring into an organic solvent at 130-140 degrees F.
