Abstract

Heat-sensitive powder and image support is contacted with heat-transfer liquid. Preferably, liquid wets neither support nor powder, and is a fusible metal alloy. Heat-exchanger and means for transporting support through it. Control means for keeping the liquid at predetermined temp. Means for bringing liquid into contact with support. Eliminates fire risk, high heating power requirement; better heat transfer, better temp. control, small dimensions.
