Abstract

Automatic winding mechanism for extruded plastic material. Consists of guiding rollers to lead in the extruded material, a toothed rack for guiding the reel onto which the material is wound, and an automatic device for cutting through the thread of material when the reel is full. The toothed rack system is in two portions, one horizontal and one inclined downwards, and also a mechanism is provided for ensuring a constant pressure between the reel and its driving roller. An automatic supply of empty reels is incorporated in the system as well as a mechanism to maintain a constant tension in the material.
