Abstract
Cleaning agent consists of:- (1) 20-40 pts. by wt. of a pulverised foam of a plastics material (I); (2) 80-60 pts by wt. of an aqueous solution of 10-50% water soluble alcohols (II) of C 2-4 and 0.1-4% of a washing agent (III). (I) may be polystyrene, polyurethane, urea-or phenol- formaldehyde foamed resins of particles size 0.1-3 mm. (II) maybe ethanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, ethylene glycol monomethyl (or ethyl) ether, or propylene glycol. (III) may be lithium or sodium salt or sulphate of fatty alcohols or alcohol ethers, or an alkyl benzene sulphonate. Known product can leave behind odour producing residues, or other materials which are difficult to remove. The cleaning agent does not completely penetrate the fabric, prevents overwetting and reduces possible damage.
