Abstract

Press for ceramic moulding with moving belt feed mechanism. F--. Comprising a revolving plate holding upper half moulds, a fixed ram holding lower half moulds, and a horizontal belt feeder loading the ram with the mould dough. The belt feeder, preferably actuated by a double sack and pinion mechanism, advances between the open jaws of the press and deposits the dough as it retracts in such a way that no sliding occurs between dough and mould. Hence less mould cleaning is necessary. The belt feeder is itself fed by a belt transporter. Timing of the various movements is controlled by e.g. a photoelectric eye etc. activated by motion of the dough along the transporter.
