Abstract

Photographic product which contains in any layer on a support a silver complex of a sensitising dye as the photosensitive material, an oxidising agent and a reducing compd. The product may also contain a silver halide. Prefd. dye for the silver complex is 1-carboxy-methyl-5- (3-ethyl-2(1)-benzoxazolidene)ethylidene 3-phenyl-2-thiohydantoin. The prefd. oxidising agent is silver stearate or silver behenate and the prefd. reducing compd. is hydroquinone or 4-phenylpyrocatechol. Process for developing the exposed product is by heating at 80-250 degrees C. Good spectral sensitivity, no chemical sensitisers required and high definition. Used for a lithographic plate.
