Abstract

Therapentic compsns. contg. as active ingredient a cpd. of formula:I (where X is an alkali metal or the group II). The cpds. originally described in US 2406960 and US 2187719 as vulcanizing agents have been found to be hepatoprotective agents useful in human and veterinary medicine. Suitable for oral and parenteral administration in doses of 21 to 100 mg, the total daily adult dose being 50-500mg.
