Abstract

A continuous fluids-mixer which has coaxial inlet tubes delivering the fluids into an expansion chamber to encounter a bladed rotor, the mixture then passing via a narrow, laminating channel into an homogenisation chamber where it meets a contra-rotating impeller. The mixer is suitable for homogenising two fluids, or a gas and a fluid, with or without suspended particles. chlorination of water for hygiene purposes and gas scrubbing are practical application of this highly efficient mixer.
