Abstract

Catalysts used in organic syntheses and purification of gas mixtures are produced in a simple and relatively inexpensive manner by impregnating a carrier with an aqueous alcoholic soln. of Na2PdCl4 and optionally salts of metals of gps. (I and VIII), and then subjecting to a thermal treatment e.g. at 110-120 degrees C for 5-6 hrs. and then at 200-400 degrees C for 1-3 hrs.
