Abstract

A device for closing bags by heat sealing after filling includes an ultrasonic generator which cleans particles from the parts to be welded and heats the parts to cause welding, the waves being reflected on an anvil placed opposite the generator on the other side of the bag to be sealed. The bags may be carried on a conveyor to a sewing station where they are sewn and welded ultrasonically. The process, by removing powder contamination facilitates sound heat sealing.
