Abstract
(A) Compounds (I): and their salts with acids and metals. where is situated in the 4-, 5-, 6- or 7-positions. Alk = 2-6C alkylene, at least 2C forming the bridge between the N atom and indole nucleus. R' = H, PhCH2- or 1-4C alkyl; R2 = H, COOH, or 1-4C alkyl; = amino or heterocyclic ring containing up to 7C or a heteropolycyclic ring containing up to 11C; R3 = H, PhCH2, 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C alkenyl; R4 = H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, cycloalkylalkyl, cyclo-alkenylalkyl, polycycloalkyl, polycycloalkenyl, polycycloalkylalkyl, polycycloalkenylalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, aralkenyl, aryloxy aryl, heterocyclyl, heterocyclylalkyl, heteropolycyclyl or heteropoly-cyclylalkyl each containing up to 12C atoms and up to 2 OH, COOH, NH2 O Alkyl or -CH2-O-CH2-groups. R5 = alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, polycycloalkyl, polycycloalkenyl each containing up to 10C or Ph, phenylalkyl, phenylalkenyl, naphthyl, each opt. substd. by alkoxy, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl each containing up to 6C or halogen or PhCH2O; R6 = H or 1-4C alkyl. (B) Pharmaceutical compns. containing (I). Hypotensive agents; CNS depressants.
