Abstract

A process and a device for the foaming of liquid bitumen flowing out through a nozzle 2, in which process compressed air and water are additionally conducted to the same nozzle. The foaming material is conducted to the nozzle at a temperature of 120 degrees - 200 degrees C, water is conducted to the nozzle at a temperature of at least 120 degrees C, the feed pressure of the water in the nozzle or in the preliminary nozzle 12 being at least 60 bar, compressed air is conducted to the nozzle in annular formation outside of the water nozzle and the foaming material is conducted to the nozzle as the outermost annular flow. <IMAGE>
