Abstract

The invention relates to the sealing of bushings for electrodes in the vault of an electric oven. The seal according to the invention is produced by means of a closed and electrically insulated bushing trough and sealing block arranged above the former. The one sealing block comprises a graphite ring and the other a braided seal, which is hydraulically pressed against the electrode structures. The seal according to the invention makes it possible to move the electrode system without interrupting the power. <IMAGE>
