Transport system especially for the transport of containers 3 and corresponding units from a transport vehicle or a terminal to a means of transport for onward conveyance, such as a vessel, and/or for transport from quay to warehouse or vice-versa, in which transport system an industrial tractor 2 known in the art is used, which is designed to act in combination with a transportation arrangement 1 carrying in particular the load, which arrangement on one side has stationary support legs 11 provided with wheels and on its other side positionally adjustable support legs 12 provided with wheels, and which has a framework 8, the front part of which has been designed to swivel relative to the industrial tractor on that side where the stationary support legs are located. By means of the transportation arrangement 1 coupled to the industrial tractor 2 the container 3 or some other equivalent unit can be loaded without the need to change driving direction. <IMAGE>
