Abstract

Method for the immersed culture of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacterial strains which produce H type antigens, wherein the culture is preferably carried out continuously in a synthetic aqueous medium containing a carbon source, mineral salts and a nitrogen source. As carbon source, a succinate or urea is used. The culture medium must be free of proteins and antigens. A bacterial biomass is obtained of which the physiological state remains constant throughout the culture and does not contain undesirable impurities such as degradation products from the medium.
