Claims (9)

1. Katod lämplig för användning vid en vätgasutvecklande elektrokemisk process, omfattande ett elektriskt ledande substrat av icke-järnmetall eller uppvisande en koherent, icke-porös beläggning av icke-järnmetall, en elektrokataly-sator omfattande en avsättning av platina och rutenium eller prekursorer därav pä det ledande substratet, och en avsättning för öka katodens förgiftningsresistans gentemot järn jäm-fört med en liknande katod utan nämnda avsättning, kännetecknad av att avsättningen omfattar guld-och/eller silvermetall.
2. Katod enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknad av att mängden guld och silver som avsätts uppgär tili mellan 0,1 och 11 vikt-% av den totala vikten av platinagruppens metall (inkluderande metallmängden av nägon prekursor).
3. Katod enligt patentkrav 1 eller 2, kännetecknad av att substratet innehäller nickel.
4. Katod enligt nSgot av patentkraven 1-3, kännetecknad av att elektrokatalysatorn även omfattar partiklar av en organisk polymer.
5. Katod enligt patentkrav 4, kännetecknad av att den organiska polymeren är polytetrafluoreten.
6. Förfarande för framställnig av en katod enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknad av att platina och rutenium eller prekursorer därav avsätts pä ett elektriskt ledande substrat av en icke-järnmetall eller uppvisande en koherent, icke-porös beläggning av icke-järnmetall, och av guld- och/eller silvermetall bildas en avsättning.
7. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 6, kännetecknat av att platinat och ruteniet avsätts genom bytesutfällning.
8. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 6 eller 7, kännetecknat av att guldet och/eller silvret avsätts genom bytesutfällning. 15 81613
9. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 6-8, kännetecknat av att platinat och ruteniet av-sätts först och dSrefter avsätts guldet och/eller silvret.
