Description
[0001] The invention relates to a worktable comprising at least one ventilation system and at least one worktop equipped with electrical or electronic devices. At least one display screen is provided in the worktop. This worktable design is a workstation designed as an office workstation where one or several people can sit or stand to operate equipment or gather information from it.
[0002] DE 20 2004 013 791 U1 refers to a table, in particular a trader's table, fitted with an air-conditioning ventilation device and at least one heat exchanger through which air flows for the purpose of thermal treatment, in particular cooling, that feeds the heat-treated air to the table, the heat-treated air being divided into at least two partial air flows, of which a first partial air flow is discharged above the table top and a second partial air flow is discharged below the table top.
[0003] US 4,248,162 A refers to a table with grids embedded in the surface of the table top.
These are in airflow connection with an electrostatic precipitator for cleaning the air. The electrostatic precipitator collects smoke in a filter, releasing the filtered, clean air back into the room at low velocity. This table eguipped with an air cleaner and filter prevents smoke produced by smokers and ashtrays from diffusing through the room by extracting the smoke near the source of contamination.
[0004] DE 20 2005 014 221 U1 refers to a laptop table that includes openings in the table top that serve to cool the laptop. The table top is individually adjustable in height and inclination.
[0005] DE 20 2012 004 403 U1 refers to a standing table with integrated heating for generating a conditioned air flow, comprising a support housing and a table top connected thereto, wherein an outer chamber, which is thermally insulated from the outside and closed on all sides except for inlets and outlets, is arranged in the interior of the support housing as well as a heating chamber, which is closed on all sides except for inlets and outlets and contains a heating element, is arranged in the interior of the outer chamber at a distance from the walls.
[0006] The heating chamber has at least one supply air duct for drawing in ambient air and is connected to the interior of the outer chamber via at least one exhaust air opening.
Downstream, the outer chamber has at least one exhaust air opening which is connected to an exhaust air conduit system for conducting the conditioned air flow, comprising at least one means for generating an air flow and the exhaust air system being connected on the exhaust air side to at least one exhaust air opening of the support housing close to the ground for discharging a conditioned air flow into the environment.
[0007] DE 10 2008 004 244 B3 describes a workstation arrangement with two opposing workstations and associated table tops, a storage space for IT devices arranged at the rear and below the table tops and designed to be almost airtight, and with a cooling unit comprising a heat exchanger and fan for dissipating the waste heat from the IT devices in a closed table cooling system with a horizontal and/or vertical air duct, and with monitors arranged above the table tops. In order to achieve efficient cooling of the IT eguipment and monitors and/or room cooling with comparatively little constructional effort, an open cooling system is provided separately from the closed table cooling system, which has a cooling unit above or at the height of the table tops comprising a heat exchanger and fans for drawing in the ambient air heated by the monitors and discharging cooling air to the monitors and/or into the room.
[0008] DE 10 2005 038 719 A1 makes known a cooling arrangement for a workstation table with two worktops and a base arranged between them with monitor holders and with a heat exchanger in a cabinet below the worktops. The heat exchanger is supplied with warm ambient air through openings in the base and exhaust air from the computers installed in the cabinet. The cooling air from the heat exchanger is divided into two air streams by a splitter with two fans, whereby one air stream is discharged through adjustable nozzles into the environment and also towards the monitors, while the second air stream is directed towards the computers.
[0009] WO 2008/003981 A1 refers to a cooling unit for workstations including a heat transfer channel containing a heat transfer fluid, wherein the heat transfer channel is configured to be connected to a condenser and to a heat exchanger to form a heat transfer circuit for cooling the workstation. Carbon dioxide can be used as a heat transfer fluid. The cooling unit, which is located below the table top of the workstation, draws in ambient air on one side, feeds it to a heat exchanger in which the heat is absorbed by the heat exchanger fluid, and blows it out on the opposite side.
[0010] JP HO5 56815 A comprises a desk providing air conditioning for the footwell. A blower generates an air flow that is tempered by means of a heat exchanger and led through a cavity below the table top and exits downwards towards the footwell.
[0011] US 4,899,027 refers to a table with a double effect, in particular a dining table. The table includes a central base that houses a cooling fan inside and provides air outlets at its upper end for blowing out cooling air radially to evenly cool people seated around the table.
An electromagnetic oven is installed in a central section to emit electromagnetic waves for heating or cooking purposes.
[0012] The invention is based on the task of further designing a worktable with a ventilation system in such a way that an efficient or even optimal cleaning and conditioning of the drawn-in ambient air is achieved with a relatively low constructional effort and, if necessary, the electrical or electric devices installed in the receiving modules and the screens, touch screens or keyboards, etc. used in the wells of the table top can be cooled at the same time.
[0013] According to the invention, this objective is achieved by a ventilation system according to the features of claim 1. Advantageous further embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims and the following description.
[0014] The worktable with a ventilation system comprises a frame for receiving a worktop equipped with electrical and/or electronic devices, wherein a fan module and an exhaust air duct are arranged on the underside of the worktop at least for the first receiving module for electrical and/or electronic devices, such as PC components. The fan module is also coupled with a second receiving module, both being housed in a common casing. The fan module contains an output fan, a filter and, if necessary, an air-cooling device.
[0015] The exhaust air duct is connected to an outlet opening located on the top of the worktop, through which purified and conditioned exhaust air is released to the environment on the top of the worktop. The exhaust air duct is designed in such a way that it conducts cleaned and conditioned exhaust air from the fan module to the electrical and/or electronic devices installed in the receiving modules and the outlet opening and at the same time can also accommodate the connecting cables of devices installed in the receiving modules.
[0016] The receiving modules, the fan module as well as the air ducts and exhaust ducts are box-shaped and fixed to the underside of the worktop by means of holding elements. The holding elements can preferably be designed in the form of retaining brackets or insert strips.
[0017] In order to achieve a nearly airtight connection of the connecting areas of the intake modules, fan module, exhaust air duct and air ducts to each other and to the underside of the worktop, the connecting surfaces are provided with sealing elements.
[0018] Furthermore, it is possible to incorporate wells into the surface of the worktop to insert, for example, screens, touchscreens or keyboards. These wells can also be connected to the system of exhaust air ducts.
[0019] The invention will be described in more detail with reference to an example embodiment. The figures illustrate:
Figure 1 Perspective view of the worktable
Figure 2 Worktop underside
Figure 3 Worktop top surface
[0020] Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a worktable with a ventilation system 7 designed according to the invention. The worktable 7 essentially consists of the frame 9 and the worktop 8, whereby the frame 9 can also be height-adjustable. The receiving modules 1 and 3, the fan module 2, the exhaust duct 4 and the air ducts 5 are attached to the worktop's underside (Figure 2). Electrical or electronic devices, for example PC components, are installed in the first and second receiving modules 1 and 3.
[0021] First of all, the fan module 2 contains the intake fan designed to draw in ambient air.
A filter unit can be provided, for example, either in the intake section of the intake fan or in the exhaust section of the intake fan. If necessary, the filter unit can also be combined with an air-cooling device. This makes it possible to clean and condition the ambient air drawn in.
[0022] The cleaned and conditioned air is conducted, on the one hand, via the air ducts 5 and the exhaust air duct 4 to the receiving modules 1 and/or directly to the second receiving module 3 to cool the electrical or electronic devices installed therein, and, on the other hand, via the outlet openings 6 to the environment above the worktop 8 (Figure 3).
[0023] The first and second receiving modules 1 and 3, the fan module 2, the exhaust air duct 4 and the air ducts 5 are designed in such a way that they can simultaneously accommodate the connecting cables for the electrical or electronic devices in a cable tray.
[0024] The fixing of the first and second receiving modules 1 and 3, the fan module 2, the exhaust air duct 4 and the air ducts 5 is carried out in a detachable way by means of holding elements.
