Abstract

Keksinnön kohteena on äänenvaimennin, erityisesti ilmanvaihtolaitteistoissa muodostuvien häiriöäänien vaimentamiseksi, johon äänenvaimentimeen kuuluu pääasiassa ilmatiivis kotelo (1; 32) ja ainakin yksi tuloyhde (2; 33) kotelon (1; 32) kytkemiseksi tuloilmakanavaan ja ainakin lähtöyhde (3; 34) kotelon kytkemiseksi lähtöilma-kanavaan sekä ainakin yksi kotelon (1; 32) sisäpuolelle sijoitettu äänenvaimennuskappale (4; 35) koteloon siirtyvien äänien vaimentamiseksi. Keksinnön mukaisessa äänenvaimentimessa äänenvaimennuskappale (4; 35) on kiinnitetty koteloon (1; 32) kulman verran ainakin yhden akselin suhteen käännettävästi ja muotoiltu niin, että kaasun, kuten ilman virtaus kotelon läpi tuloyhteestä (2; 33) lähtöyhteeseen (3; 34) on rajoitettavissa ja/tai ainakin osittain estettävissä äänenvaimennuskappaletta (4; 35) kääntämällä. (Fig.1)The invention relates to a silencer, in particular for dampening noise generated in ventilation systems, which silencer mainly comprises an airtight housing (1; 32) and at least one inlet connection (2; 33) for connecting the housing (1; 32) to the supply air duct and at least one outlet connection (3; 34) for connecting the housing to the outlet air duct, and at least one sound-absorbing piece (4; 35) placed inside the housing (1; 32) for dampening sounds transmitted to the housing. In the silencer according to the invention, the sound-absorbing piece (4; 35) is attached to the housing (1; 32) by an angle with respect to at least one axis and is shaped so that the flow of gas, such as air, through the housing from the inlet connection (2; 33) to the outlet connection (3; 34) can be limited and/or at least partially prevented by turning the sound-absorbing piece (4; 35).
