Abstract

Keksintö koskee kuumasaumautuvaa pakkausmateriaalia sekä sellaisesta muodostettua suljettua tuotepakkausta etenkin elintarvikkeiden pakkaamista varten. Pakkausmateriaali (1) käsittää paperia tai kartonkia olevan runkokerroksen (3) sekä polymeerisiä kuumasaumauskerroksia (2, 7, 8) runkokerroksen toisella puolella tai mieluiten sen kummallakin puolella. Keksinnön mukaan pakkausmateriaaliin on järjestetty kaksi päällekkäistä polymeeristä kuumasaumauskerrosta (7, 8), joista sisempään (7) on sisällytetty pakkausmateriaalin värjäävää pigmenttiä ulomman kerroksen (8) ollessa transparentti. Sisemmässä kerroksessa (7) voi olla valosuojan muodostavaa mustaa pigmenttiä, kuten hiilimustaa, sekä lisäksi valkoista pigmenttiä, kuten titaanidioksidia, jolloin pigmentit yhdessä sävyttävät kerroksen harmaaksi. Alumiinifoliota muistuttava harmaa kerros (7) tulee pakkauksessa runkokerroksen (3) sisäpuolelle. Kuumasaumauspolymeeri voi olla pientiheyspolyeteeniä (LDPE), ja materiaaliin (1) voidaan sisällyttää polymeerisiä sulkukerroksia happi-, rasva- ja aromitiiviyden aikaansaamiseksi, esim. etyylivinyylialkoholikopolymeeriä (EVOH) oleva happisulkukerros (4).&sr;Kuvio 4The invention relates to a heat-sealable packaging material and a closed product package formed from it, especially for packaging foodstuffs. The packaging material (1) comprises a body layer (3) of paper or cardboard and polymeric heat-sealing layers (2, 7, 8) on one side of the body layer or preferably on both sides thereof. According to the invention, two overlapping polymeric heat-sealing layers (7, 8) are arranged in the packaging material, the inner layer (7) of which contains a pigment that colours the packaging material, while the outer layer (8) is transparent. The inner layer (7) may contain a black pigment, such as carbon black, which forms a light barrier, and also a white pigment, such as titanium dioxide, whereby the pigments together tint the layer grey. The grey layer (7) resembling aluminium foil is placed on the inside of the body layer (3) in the packaging. The heat sealing polymer may be low density polyethylene (LDPE), and polymeric barrier layers may be incorporated into the material (1) to provide oxygen, fat and aroma tightness, e.g. an ethyl vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) oxygen barrier layer (4).&sr;Figure 4
