Abstract

Keksintö liittyy datagrammien välittämiseen palvelun- tai sisällön tuottajalta (S1, S2) asiakkaan päätelaitteelle (TE1, TE2) yhteislähetyspalvelun (DVB) kautta. Keksintö perustuu siihen, että digitaaliselle yhteislähetyspalvelulle annetaan oma dataverkko-osoite, johon yleisestä dataverkosta reititetyt datagrammit yhteislähetetään päätelaitteille. Verkko-osoite voi viitata yhteislähetyspalveluun liitetyn palvelimen (6) sovellukseen, joka vastaanottaa datagrammit ja tallentaa ne yhteislähetyspalvelun puskurimuistina toimivaan palvelimen tietokantaan (5). Tästä puskurimuistista lähetyslaitteisto (4) hakee datagrammeja lähetettäväksi päätelaitteille (TE1 ,TE2). (Fig. 1)The invention relates to the transmission of datagrams from a service or content provider (S1, S2) to a customer's terminal device (TE1, TE2) via a digital video broadcasting service (DVB). The invention is based on the fact that the digital video broadcasting service is given its own data network address, to which datagrams routed from a public data network are broadcast to the terminal devices. The network address may refer to an application of a server (6) connected to the broadcast service, which receives the datagrams and stores them in a server database (5) acting as a buffer memory of the broadcast service. From this buffer memory, the transmission equipment (4) retrieves datagrams for transmission to the terminal devices (TE1, TE2). (Fig. 1)
