Abstract

Uppfinningen avser förbättringar i blekning av lignocellulosamassa genom att tillsätta koldioxid för att åstadkomma en fördelaktig pH-profil vid klordioxidblekning eller delignifiering. Den resulterande blekta massan utnyttjas i pappers- eller massatillverkningen. Uppfinningen avser också användning av koldioxid för att åstadkomma en önskad pH-profil i ett klordioxidbleksteg.The invention relates to improvements in the bleaching of lignocellulosic pulp by adding carbon dioxide to achieve a favorable pH profile during chlorine dioxide bleaching or delignification. The resulting bleached pulp is utilized in paper or pulp manufacturing. The invention also relates to the use of carbon dioxide to achieve a desired pH profile in a chlorine dioxide bleaching step.
